Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser of any phone, tablet or computer. A tablet or a TV with a browser is enough for the kitchen.

Does it work in my country?

Presets for Mexico, Latin America, the US, the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Asia: currency, tax, tips and time zone. You can adjust each one.

Can I turn modules off?

Yes. Each module in your plan switches on or off in Settings and disappears from your screens right away.

Does it issue e-invoices?

It stores the tax details your country asks for (RFC, NIF, RUT, NIT…) so your accountant or provider can issue the document. Direct stamping is not included yet.

And after the trial?

During the trial we only verify your card. When it ends, the first period of your plan is charged (the month, 6 months or year you chose). If you decide not to continue, cancel or ask to delete your account from Settings and nothing is charged. If the charge fails, we notify you every day; the account is suspended and later deleted.

Who sees my data?

Only your team, each with a PIN. Every restaurant is isolated from the others and the site uses no tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

What is a QR code menu and how does it work?

Guests scan the QR code on their table, see the menu in your restaurant's language (or in their phone's, if you added it) and send their order straight to the kitchen. There is no app to download.

Do I need to buy a terminal or a printer for the POS?

No. AlPunto does not sell equipment: the POS and the kitchen display run on your own tablet, phone or computer with a browser. If you already have a thermal printer, you can print receipts.

Does it work for a ghost kitchen, cafe or takeout?

Yes. You can set it up as a restaurant, bar, cafe or ghost kitchen, with commission-free takeout orders, and the kitchen display and inventory included.

How much does a restaurant POS system cost?

There are three plans (Essential, Pro and Chain), with unlimited users and no commission on sales. Essential is 22 USD a month, and you start with a 15-day free trial.
